It was snowing lightly this morning but the trail ride Karin scheduled for 9:00 am was still a go. They hooked up the trailer, saddled 4 horses and loaded them up and were soon on their way to Sandridge. On this trip they took Mika, Ripper, Oksana and Irish. Riders were Karin, Isaiah, Megan and Magda. They sent back two pictures. Isaiah took the first and Karin took the second.
This was Irish's first trail ride off the farm and she did wonderful. Ripper tried a small buck when they went into canter but Isaiah had no problem stopping that behavior and by the end of the ride Ripper was also doing great. By the time they got back most of the snow had melted off and they had no problem getting up our hill. Mark changed the oil in his car this afternoon while I puttered around in the house getting the laundry done and bringing in a couple loads of wood for the wood burner. The weather report is calling for more snow tomorrow morning with a high of 33 then falling to 17 degrees. The grandchildren would love to have enough snow for sledding tomorrow so maybe they will get their wish.
