Melting Ice

We had a good walk today, the sun was shining and no one was in a big hurry except Joan. It is Mackenson's birthday and she needed to get back to make him breakfast in bed. Officially he is 13 years old but realistically he is 16 or 17. He wanted a Ripley believe it or not cake but that meant Mackenson needed to do or have something that was different from anyone else.

They decided he probably did have the biggest hands for a 13 year old. We had above freezing again today and more ice melted off but the flat area of the drive, the shaded part just got slushy on the top then will freeze hard again tonight. The ice is so thick on that part.  This afternoon the girls came over while Anna took her mom to therapy. We played Uno, played outside and froze our toes then had to come in for hot chocolate to warm up by the fire.  Karin reported they took 4 horses out on the trails and all did excellent. We think this was the first time Irish was taken on a trail ride and she was great. Magda is pretty thrilled with her.

She was sure footed on the icy steep hills, crossed the creek without a problem and did the hills. Karin is going to take the truck and big trailer, Mika, Oksana, Ripper and Irish to either Sand ridge or Jubilee. The weanlings will need a new bale tomorrow.                                                                                        Tonight Tim Roecker did the Acts Bible study for church.  Mom called after church to catch up on all that is going on here (not much). In Gulf Shores today they had sunshine this morning and enjoyed sitting on the balcony. The sun is so warm. William and Devon walked to the pier and back.
