I forgot that today was the business meeting in the Peoria church and was hoping for a good sermon. Well we got that good sermon, Tim Funk had the message on Colossians and so relevant for this time. The business meeting was also good to hear. It is always humbling to hear what goes on at this place and this year was even more amazing with the lockdowns. Right after church Mark had to work on the drive going from the dumpster to the road. Joan was going down this morning heading to church and reported it was so icy when she put on the brakes the car didn't slow down and she was not going fast. She told the kids, "make sure your seatbelts are on we are going over the cliff" as she didn't think she would make the turn at the bottom but there was enough traction right there and some sand spread by Anna, Mark and Mackenson that they made the turn. When Mark came with a load of sand Joan was already spreading salt. Between the salt and the sand it worked enough that others could get up the hill and down safely. David and Stephanie and Phil and Anna brought their kids to go sledding. The weather was 28 degrees so not bitter and the run was on the dam heading down to the death trails so nice and long. Below are a couple of short videos of some of the fun.

Fun Sunday
A special thanks to Stephanie who took the pictures below and shared them with me:
Ben and Taunya arrived and their children all joined in the fun.
The adults and youngest ones quit and came over for supper but the others wanted to keep sledding. Our dinner was almost quiet but we still had 4 young ones playing while we were enjoying our meal.Diane had all the kids come to the cabin for hot chocolate then the kids all went back to sledding. They were sledding until way after dark and when they came in they were all starving after that wonderful exercise of flying down the hill then walking back up.
After supper while the adults talked the children each took a lantern and went out to the barn for games. They love playing on the hay.
The only ones missing today were Rhoda, Lee and Iris who are still in Florida. It was wonderful to be with family again after our 3 weeks of vacation. Today was a special day.
The picture below was sent by the owner of Lola's filly who also owns a Raven daughter and an Evan daughter. She writes: Here is Brynja (Valiant's daughter), doing her best to help Lonny greet Freyja (Raven's daughter)! lol
The person that bought Roxanne's 2018 filly by Valiant sent the picture below:He is very thrilled with her and that makes us happy. It is always nice to see updated pictures.
