The Wheel Chair Arrives

I was over at mom's at 7:20 am and sat quietly in the kitchen until I heard mom and Karin talking. They were enjoying some coffee and cinnamon toast in bed.  They had gone to bed last night at 6:00 pm and slept until 4:00 am. Sunday was a big day for mom.  The big news today was mom WAS approved for the reclining wheelchair and that was delivered today. The men that came had quite a time getting here as the driveways are so icy. They ended up going all the way to Rachel's then turned around and parked in the middle of the drive at mom's as they couldn't back their truck up.  The two young men that came though must have been used to ice skating as they slid easily on the ice unloading the wheel chair and loading up the bed.  I had one errand at 10:00 am of which I was a little late then back to mom's.  Ruth got off work early today for her first day back and relieved me at 2:30 pm. Mark got home around 3:00 pm and together we filled the front porch with split wood for the wood burners.  Karin called a bit later that Studley had fallen on the ice on hill of the cabin trail and was not able to get up. The golf cart was taken to the top of the hill and we were trying to carry him up but were struggling. Studly weighs over 80 pounds.  Thankfully Leah was out hiking and gave us a hand. The 3 of us were able to get him on the golf cart and he was taken to mom's. Poor Studley. I think he is 13 years old. He LOVED going on the trails and was always the first to run into the creek at the bottom.

It is really hard watching when our beloved animals are in failing health.  This evening I worked on downloading David's message given Jan 7th, 2021 of Jesus the Cloud Rider.
