We got snow last night. Actually it started at 5:00 pm as I was leaving mom's house. There were two ice skaters out on the lake skating in the snow. This morning we had about 3 inches covering the patio and driveways. Before starting to plow Mark helped move in a couple bales. One for Dancer and Sheena's paddock and one for Sally and Rockaway. He used the skid steer for that, then put that away and took the tractor out.
Once I was back inside loaded up a few things to take to mom's house such as cherry pie, non stick bandages and a grabber then drove over. Ruth was with mom getting her hair brushed while Karin was resting. She had another very busy night. Ruth loves the new bar David Sauder put up for mom and had mom show me how she uses it for transfers. It really does simplify things. When I got back I took Mark's car to Dollar General to pick up craft supplies for the tomorrow after dinner craft for the grand children. Below are the new craft supplies. They had all kinds of fun stuff.
I had to decide which was the best one to start with tomorrow and decided the butterfly magnets would be a good option.
Those can either be painted or colored with markers. Then when dry we will add a layer of glitter glue on top to make them sparkle.
And the finishing touch will be to add some glow in the dark glue for the body of the butterfly and the antennas. If the boys don't want to make butterflies they can make catapults out of the colored popsicle sticks. Ben and Philip were here working on the internet when I arrived. They found the problem so we boxed up the rented modem and put our own back on. The internet is now working well. The airbnb guests sent a text they could use more wood for another fire. I took up a load and they told me they got to go to the Peoria Zoo today and of all things it was a FREE day. Anna, Taunya, Sarah and David took the grand children snow boarding at SnowStar early this morning. They sent back a few videos. It looked like all were having a great time. There was fresh snow on the ground and not horribly cold. A great day to enjoy more winter sports.
