Family Visitors

I didn't walk this morning instead left early for Berean so I would have time to stop at Sam's Club to pick up food for tonight's dinner.  If you would like to read about our morning there click HERE. After Berean I stopped at the Bartonville post office to drop off the 38 Bibles for mailing then headed home to start cooking. I had picked up 3 rotisserie chickens at Sams and the chicken was deboned with the carcass going into the big pot of boiling water to make soup tomorrow. The chicken was sliced thin and put in a crock pot to keep warm.  At 4:30 all of the food was taken over to mom's. Uncle Johnny and Aunt MaryLou arrived at 5:00 pm just as the sun was setting. The colors in the sky were beautiful, below is a short video.

Above Aunt MaryLou is visiting with mom.
Ruth was with mom most of today and also stayed for supper. Fedi came a little later. Spark and Rhonda were the first to arrive. All of us that are out here met at mom's for dinner. Joan and her 3 youngest came along with Mark and I. Not pictured was Mike and Diane. Diane was still preparing food and Mike hadn't arrived yet.
For dinner we had that chicken, fried rice, salad, egg rolls with sweet and sour sauce and bread rolls with butter.  For dessert we had New York style cheese cake with whip cream and fresh blueberries on top. We enjoyed the food but the fellowship was even better.  Uncle Johnny is mom's youngest sibling and only brother. I think he is 8 years younger than she is. We all enjoyed reminiscing over the good old times. Joan is spending the night with mom tonight and making breakfast for the travelers before they head out on their long trip to Arizona. Mom had a good visit then headed to bed but has been having trouble with pain in her leg and could not get comfortable.  We are not sure what is going on but she can't sit up very well with this pain. We are very thankful for the recliner.
