Grandchildren Art

Before heading over to mom's this morning the grand children's art work was checked and all pages were dry.  Mark found a stapler and I went to work making their book.  Last Sunday all the grandchildren that were here (except baby River) contributed to this book. They were given paper, markers, glitter glue, stickers, and feathers and each one worked hard making pages for this book. The next step was to get the holes in each page and the binding is a shoelace off a pair of unused tennis shoes.  Didn't it turn out well?

Below are just a few of the pages.

I'm not sure what the craft should be next Sunday but Braelyn thinks we should make snowflakes.  I'll need to buy more decorations as we used all of the glitter glue, feathers and stickers last week.
Mom wanted breakfast in bed this morning.  We had to ask her, "just who do you think you are, the queen around here?"  Of course we gave her breakfast in bed.  She had a better day today and we think yesterday she was just exhausted from Sunday's activities. Anna arrived at 10:30 am and I took off first to the bank to deposit a check then to Sam's for groceries and supplies for mom's house and from there Aldi's to pick up a few items that Sam's club either didn't have or had in too large of a quantity. Sam's didn't have cuties (one thing on the list) but had very good oranges for a good price.  When I got back we cut one and really enjoyed it. Mom wanted to eat her orange while sitting in the sunshine watching the birds right outside her deck.
At 4:00 pm I left mom's to head home and make dinner. Karin stayed with mom until Diane arrived.  At 6:00 pm dinner was taken over and tonight we had pork roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, creamed peas and for dessert iced cinnamon rolls. It was such a blessing today to have sunshine and 40 degrees. This helped melt a lot of snow off mom's deck.
