Most Blessed

It was my turn to be with mom but since I didn't need to be there before 10:00 am there was time to start hauling upstairs the unused wrapping paper, the table cloths from the barn that were all washed, dried, folded and put in the tub with the correct label, get 3 loads of laundry done and make breakfast. I still needed to take down the plastic tables used for wrapping but that can wait. We had a cool morning with heavy frost on the grass and covering the car windows but that turned into a beautiful sunny WARM December 30th day. After lunch it was warm enough to sit out on the deck watching the birds.

The sunshine felt wonderful after so many dreary cloudy rainy days.
Karin finished the picture of David, Rachel's husband and had that on the kitchen table. It was so good it needed to be shared here.
Who knew my youngest sister was so talented.
I left mom's at 2:00 pm and was surprised to see the barn parking lot full of cars.
They stretched all the way down the left side and around the front. This rental is an extended family from 7 different states celebrating a family Christmas. They also rented the foaling apartment as they needed more sleeping areas. They are leaving tomorrow, Rhoda and Sarah are coming to help get the barn cleaned up for the New Year's Eve party tomorrow evening. Ruth is bringing her bouncy house for that, Phil and Anna have a whiffle ball game planned, I have games planned and the last meal of the year starts at 10:00 pm. Speaking of games, Taegan played in her first game for the Farmington Farmers today. She scored a 3rd of the points and the Farmers won their game. That is Taegan in dark uniform. She is in the center for the jump ball.
When the sun went down the house got cool. Mark kept the living room wood burner going and the heat not only makes the room comfortable it is soothing to hear the crackle of popping wood and beautiful watching the flames lick the top while the glow of orange and red coals fill the room with warmth.
We are a most blessed people and I am thankful.
