We lost our electricity this morning. I had just finished cleaning the 3 bathrooms in the big barn when all went dark. I tried calling Mark to find out if it was just the barn but he didn't answer. As we were hosting potluck tonight this was a little concerning. Thankfully the entire neighborhood also lost electricity so it wasn't just the barn. Mark got the generator started so I could finish the dishwasher, which had been running when it went out, and the laundry which was also in the middle of a cycle. David Sauder came over to talk to me about the barn kitchen hot water faucet. Rachel asked him to check it out. He talked to Phil and they must have done something on it as this evening that faucet was working better. The electricity was back on before 2:00 pm. Over at the barn the candy bowl was used as the centerpiece on the big table.

Potluck
Our guests started arriving around 6:00 pm but the meal wasn't going to be served until 6:30 so the guys started shooting baskets.
Below Karl, Stephanie, Lanae and Monica were watching from the game room.
Later Karl plugged in the recliners and showed us how to work them.
Even Mark enjoyed the recliners.
The supper was delicious. Mark grilled the steaks, Marie brought the salad and potatoes AND made a special sauce to put on the potatoes. Janet and Stephanie each brought 2 kinds delicious bread so we ended up with a cheese bread, cinnamon bread, pineapple and coconut bread and banana bread. Monica brought the dessert (not pictured). That was like a 5 layer chocolate cream cheese, whipped cream delight.
As good as the food was the fellowship was even better. We truly enjoyed the evening.
