Engagement In Peoria

We had an easy relaxed morning. Mark went for his walk while I started breakfast but really no work was done before leaving for church. Caleb had his first message as Peoria's new minister and had that on Genesis 1 and John 1. To listen and watch that click HERE. The BIG surprise came after that message. Tim gave the regular announcements then Marvin got up to talk about the Bible reading for the next two years then Tim shocked us all by the next announcement. Our good friend and one we consider one of us girls,  Kathy, was announced to Randy Martin from Cissna.

We are thrilled for both of them but let me tell you, HE is getting a jewel of a wife! The best news about this announcement is even though he is from Cissna they will make their home in the Peoria church. We don't even have to lose her. The church was really buzzing during lunch. We were thrilled that he was here today and we all got to meet him. We sure wish them God's blessings on their new life together. Gregg Rumbold had the afternoon message on the final minor prophet Malachi. To listen and watch that message click HERE.  As soon as we got home from church I went to work cooking. The cake was mixed up and put in the oven first then 10 eggs set to boiling for hard boiled eggs. They were just getting peeled when Mike called for me to step outside. He was line driving Titus for the very first time and Titus was doing so well over at the cabin field Mike brought him over to our house so I could see.

Titus just turned a year old Aug 4th so he really is huge for a yearling. He was very well behaved and is picking up the line driving amazingly quick.
Needless to say we are pretty happy with this boy. I went in to finish cooking. The green beans were cooked in chicken broth and the wild rice started. The cake was cooled and ready for the middle layer of pudding then once the top layer put on the icing was made and applied. I should have called Anna's girls to come help with that. They love piping in the frosting and would have done a better job than me. The food was taken over to the barn. Mark grilled some T bone steaks and by 4:30 everything was done and everyone was here ready for dinner. After dinner the kids played pickle ball and basketball while we visited until it was time for the volley ball to start. The newest member of the team arrived. Little Lucy, Sam and Tyler's baby girl came for the first time since she was born.
Diane brought over Christmas ornaments and Eden helped decorate the tree.

The kids have had so much fun adding ornaments each time they come. Eden and Kensley discovered the Nativity set.
While the volley ball games were going on in the gym some of us were just vegging out relaxing on the comfortable sectional.

Another Wonderful Sunday has come and gone but this one was really special with that special announcement of Kathy and Randy's engagement.
Dan is working on another song and today sent this.  If you read Mathew 26:29 you will know exactly to what this song is all about.
