Christmas Carol Program

Today seemed like a Saturday even though we walked. Ruth couldn't come she just wasn't feeling well. She took the covid test and thankfully tested negative as she is in charge of the Meister Christmas party on Saturday. The picture below was taken as we were walking over the retention pond dam to heading to Joan's house.

Diane, Joan and I walked. After the walk I went to work on wrapping the presents for the Meister party. I had ordered for Spark's family, my family, Ruth's family and John's family.  Diane and Joan ordered for their families and will wrap those and Katy ordered for Beth's family and will wrap those so my work is pretty much done.  Tri County called to report the horse trailer's axle was done. The bill came to $301.72. The axle was ok but they put in some new seals so most of the bill was labor.  We still need to order a part for the broken latch. Thankfully we have the stock trailer working. When we got back from Tri County Mark had me pull up on the trailer assist to check out their work.
Above Mark is checking out each tire and both axles to make sure all 4 tires were tight. Each time he finished he would move the trailer assist over to the front tire and have me drive forward on to that then once it was checked back the trailer up to get the assist moved to the other side. It was 4 times forward and 4 times backward to get them all checked. By the time we got home it was almost 1:30 pm and we were both hungry for lunch. We each had a hot bowl of clam chowder served with a grilled ham and  cheese sandwich. At 2:00 pm Mark picked up Mackenson and they went out clearing trails and even some of the drives.  He cut down a lot of thorn bushes and trees. Those locust trees, even the saplings,  have huge thorns. At 6:00 pm we left for the Christmas Carol program at the fellowship hall. We arrived at 6:20 pm to find the parking lot already almost full. When we walked into the door there were carolers singing carols dressed in costumes from Charles Dickens' Christmas Carol. I didn't think to take a picture or video but Diane took a picture.
Most them were family. Joan, Sarah, Hannah, Jacob, Faith and Berlica were all singing. We found a place to sit up in the 3rd row. There was a video of a fire in a fire place playing.
I was able to video the program. The singing was beautiful and Dean did an amazing job narrating.
