Thankful

We had a warm 47 degree morning. As soon as it was light enough Dancer was teased. She said no very strongly, so yesterday she was going out. Hopefully she had not yet ovulated when we got her covered.  Pablo was sent a message to not bring his stallion. The 2 horse trailer was hooked up and driven over to the barn so the bikes, scooters, rolling office chairs and some other toys were loaded into that.  Diane and Ruth helped with the loading and the looking. I couldn't find the plates that cover the hole in the floor when Anna took the volley ball stands and net down. It took Anna to find those.

When we reached Joan's house we had to go in to see Berlica and Mackenson's science fair projects.
Both did a wonderful job. Today was the big day of judging.  I'm sure they will both do well. When we left Joan's house Berlica's cat came right up to meet with Ruth's dog. That cat has no fear!
I was with mom this morning. Rachel and David arrived with their grandson Brian who brought mom a flower.

Brian had fun riding mom's wheel chair.
When Aunt Jinnie called to read mom more of Corrie Ten Boom's story I took a garbage run then grabbed a box of table cloths from my house and dropped them off at the barn. The people renting the barn today asked if they could use them. They have 100 people coming tomorrow for the wedding reception. When Karin arrived I went straight to the barn to put them on the tables as the guests hadn't arrived yet.
I was also able to do a little cleaning before needing to be home at 2:00 pm. As I was driving the golf cart home from the barn there was Mike working with Titus.
I followed them a bit with the golf cart. He did so well and when Mike finished Titus was tied and stood quietly until it was time to put him away.
We are really impressed with this yearling.
Mark and I had an appointment down town at 3:00 pm to sign some papers. We got home in plenty of time to be at mom's by 5:30 pm for the Christmas caroling.
After the singing we had lots of appetizers and desserts. Of course games had to be played.
Hannah took at look at mom's hand then cleaned and bandaged it back up.
Mark got his senior lifetime National Park Pass in the mail today.
We plan on traveling next summer now that we have our passes.
When we got home from the party I still had lots to do. The kitchen was a mess with lots of dishes to wash. For the party this evening Mark cooked 3 pounds of shrimp in a pan, drained them in the colander, cooled them in a bowl in the fridge then peeled them and put them in a serving dish while I made the cocktail sauce in a bowl. All of those dishes needed to be cleaned up along with the breakfast dishes and Mark's lunch dishes. Funny there are only 2 of us but we sure can make a mess. Today felt like a long day but I am thankful! The warmth of the sun, the 59 degrees, our happy guests, and the celebrating of the birth of Jesus, all so much to be thankful for.
