There was no hurry to get moving this morning. It started raining around 3:00 am and was predicted to rain all day. I took the car up to the apartment along with some instant oatmeal, creamers and the electric kettle for our guests coming in today. The heat and lights were turned on. They planned on arriving early afternoon. Ruth, Anni and Steven arrived to start decorating for the Meister Christmas as Ruth is in charge this year. I came over to help but they really had it all under control.
Anni decided the support poles needed to be decorated too.

They don't show but Ruth had fairy lights on all the tables and around the poles. Family started arriving around 4:00 pm. Mark was able to pick up the chicken a few minutes before 4:00 and had the 200 pieces of chicken here by 4:30 pm. We gathered in the gym for the prayer which John had and then came the feast!
We had to set up a couple more tables in the gym but a lot of the kids ate pretty quickly so they could go play so a few of the tables had second settings which worked out well. When most of us were finished we had a crew take down tables and set up the chairs so we all could fit for the Christmas story, carols and special numbers. The lights were turned out in the gym and game room to encourage those playing to make their way into the living area. Below are a few pictures of the evening.

We had lots of help cleaning up and putting the chairs back. The older girls are having cousin night tonight and will finish anything that needs doing. They planned on a slumber party but I'm pretty sure there is not going to be much slumbering. I love that they love being together. I think we will sleep good tonight.
