Repairs

Joan didn't walk this morning, she was due at the hospital by 10:00 am for surgery on her arm. She was due then but the surgery didn't start until 1:15 pm.  Diane was with mom today and decided to give Molly a bath.

After Molly was dry and brushed out she wanted to sit on mom's lap.
You can just tell, she was trying to let mom know how awful Diane is by forcing her to get cleaned and brushed up.  We had some sunshine today and it warmed up to 40 degrees.  Mike brought Dancer, Titus and Sally over from the cabin field as he was having gravel dumped around the cabin. Unfortunately as soon as Dancer arrived she started showing. Dancer was supposed to have been pregnant by Pablo's stallion so she must have lost the pregnancy.
In the picture above Dancer, far right is looking over at Evan and Sheena. I sent a text to Pablo and he called right away. He decided to drive over to see and also pick up Ca$h's papers at the same time.  He agreed, she is for sure back in season and is going to bring his stallion over tomorrow afternoon for a rebreed.
Mike moved a bale in for them and decided as long as he had the auger on the tractor he may as well dig a hole and replace the broken post. He brought the 4 wheeler over with the post.

The tractor loader was used to lift the roof then Mike climbed up on the loader to attach the roof to the new post.

Within a few minutes it was done. Sheena was put in with Lea and Blueberry and since this was the first time Sheena has been with Lea I had to stay and watch.  There was some squealing but they settled down pretty quickly. Lea is the boss mare. Below she is keeping an eye on Sheena while guarding Blueberry.
Not long after the picture was taken though Sheena made her way to stand near the other two and Lea let her.  We got word that Joan's surgery went well.  When she got into the recovery room she was apparently awake enough in recovery to give everyone a heart attack. When they asked which arm was operated on the CRNA told them it was the right arm and Joan, barely awake said, "WHAT? It was supposed to be the LEFT!"  Then as they gasped, she started giggling. The picture below shows exactly what they did to her RIGHT arm.
She got a plate and 11 screws.  That shelter wasn't the only thing that got repaired today. We picked up Berlica and Mackenson for church tonight. David had the message on Luke 3 and believe it or not we all learned a LOT. If you would like to watch and listen to this most different message click HERE. After church we went to Culvers for a late dinner. Microsoft has locked us out of our email address so if  you need to send something by email either facebook message us or send it to my other email address friesianstallionraven@gmail.com   Hopefully we can figure out why without buying their expensive microsoft 365
