Christmas Caroling

Another wonderful Sunday. We had an easy morning as most everything was done yesterday. I left for mom's at 8:45 am to taken mom to church in the wheelchair van. Once mom and I were in and ready we drove to Rhonda's to pick her up then to our house to pick up Mark. We arrived at church just a few minutes late arriving there at 9:35 instead of 9:30 am but still in plenty of time to join in the singing. Mike Kaisner had the morning message. He read the first book of Revelation but only after giving us the beginning and reading in a few other places first. If you would like to watch that click HERE.  Mike and Diane served lunch today and the food was abundant and delicious with lots to choose from. The afternoon was the Sunday school Christmas program. After church and after we took mom and Nancy home we went to the barn to check it out after the big shebang last night and were very pleasantly surprised to see almost everything was cleaned up. There are sheets to wash and 11 table cloths and tomorrow I'll have to work a bit in the kitchen but on the whole our guests left it very nice. We tried to put the volley ball net back up but just didn't know what we were doing and finally left that half done. Mike worked with Lea again loading and unloading. He is getting her to stand quietly inside as long as the doors are open and he is in with her. We picked up Taegan and Kensley for the Christmas caroling at 3:45 pm and were at church by 4:15 in time to pick a group. We were group number 3. Maria gave Nancy a fun Christmas headband. She LOVED it.

It was so bright we always knew where she was the entire evening. That group went to Skylines and I'm sure she was a hit there. She loves Christmas caroling.
Our group sang at Dr. Corley's house and the Esther house. Below are 4 of our singers.
We were the first group back and had to wait for the other 2 groups before we could eat supper. The girls played silly games while waiting.
Supper was potluck and amazingly we had a wonderful variety of vegetables, salads, potatoes to go with the chicken and of course lots of desserts. Melanie made gingerbread men and gave me a plate with my name on it to take home. She remembered from years past that gingerbread was one of my favorites. Of course I left it at church but thankfully Diane saw the plate and brought it home tonight. I can collect it tomorrow at the walk. Right now we are both going to be heading to bed. What a great day!
