Nancy's Glasses

On the way to church today Kathy sent the message that Nancy was very excited to see us today, she visited Elvis last night and then sent the picture below.

We laughed and when we got to church convinced her to take them off and put them in her bag to keep those glasses safe.  She went down to Sunday school so I kind of forgot about those glasses.  Caleb Plattner has the morning message of Genesis 8 and 9 but before reading about Noah and the flood he explained a bit about flooding and told us of some tsunamis and the awful disaster they are. If you would like to learn more click HERE. At lunch Nancy was so thrilled with her Sunday school picture she wanted to show everyone. In the afternoon service Nancy and I sat up front with Mark. David and Stephanie and their children were in the bench in front of us. Tim Roecker had the afternoon message and was speaking on when Paul was explaining he had to go to Jerusalem and the others were begging him not to go. Right about then I needed to put my glasses on, reached down into my purse got my glasses, put them on and only then noticed Nancy saw that, pulled her Elvis glasses out of her bag and put them on.  I was trying to get her to take them off and told her those are sunglasses for when you are outside so she took them off and I thought all was well and maybe no one saw her until Stephanie heard me telling the kids at the barn this afternoon. She told us she saw Tim start to smile and thought maybe her kids had done something funny. Nope he must have seen Nancy. To listen to that message click HERE
After church we stopped at Aldi to pick up the rest of the food for tonight's dinner. As soon as I got home 3 pounds of bacon were fried up and the 8 pounds of hamburger made into patties and seasoned. Mark helped get all the food over to the barn but on the last trip I went up to let the horses out to graze.
Most of the family were already there. The girls were busy making jewelry.

When more arrived they moved to the big table as I needed the table they started on to lay out the food line. .
Today I cut the small watermelon from Gary and Marie's garden. It was small but red and sweet.
Zeke arrived and wanted to check out what the girls were making.
The food was good and everyone seemed to enjoy dinner.

After dinner the girls and I went on golf cart rides. We needed to put the horses away then drove the golf cart over to Joan's to check out all of her company. She was hosting the Jr Bible class students and their families. The students had already taken a hay rack ride and were playing soccer.

Spark drove the hay rack ride and parked it at Joan's while they were eating dinner.
As it was wet out, the volley ball players decided to play indoors this evening. Before everyone arrived the pickleball courts were in action with some fun games of pickleball.
Once those nets were put away the volleyball games started. Kensley was giving rides while roller blading.

David and Leah arrived with some guests. They went upstairs to watch.

When they quit the volleyball most went in the living room to visit. The mom's and babies were enjoying that area.

Some of the boys stayed in the gym and started a football game.
The barn was well used today.
What a great Sunday!
