I didn't sleep well last night. My mind wouldn't shut off after yesterdays losses. On the walk we looked at both graves, Molly's and Irish's. Molly was buried where Heidi, mom's German Shepherd is buried and next to Cain, Diane and Mike's Golden retriever. Right after breakfast Mark and I went out to start spreading the last pile of manure. Rizzy came out with us and was busy hunting rabbits.
Below is a video of the manure spreading.
At one point Mark was out in the field with the tractor and spreader when Joan showed up needing the skid steer. Mark was leaving it running while spreading so she jumped in and drove it over to mom's to pull the broken willow tree out of the lake. She had tried to do it with mom's Kubota but that wasn't strong enough. When Mark headed back he saw the skid steer was gone and thought one of the brothers-in-law had borrowed it only to find out it was a sister-in-law. Those branches were really big, long and very heavy. Joan's crew were her house guests for the week along with Faith, Mackenson and Berlica.
They had a burn pile going from all the other branches picked up today.
Of course Rizzy followed me over.
Below is a video of the fire, the kids working and the skid steer pulling branches.
Mark finished the manure pile once the skid steer was back. By then it was time for lunch and 5 cans of tuna were mixed up with mustard, mayo, onions, dill and of course celery. That will last a couple days. After resting a bit we went back out to move bales. The middle paddock needed a bales as did the Thoroughbred mares.
We came in and had plenty of time to shower and get ready for church. Tim Roecker had the message tonight. Click HERE to listen to that. We went out to Culvers after church for supper and didn't get home until late. We will sleep good tonight.
