Thankful For the Rain

Fedi is home from Romania and came on the walk with us. He was telling us all about his trip but stopped to help Mark pull down a broken branch.

We enjoyed hearing all about his trip. Berean is now in 17 prisons in Romania and have the volunteers set up to go in 6 more. The prison authority in Romania love what has been happening since Berean started volunteering in the prisons and are welcoming us.
Mom and I left at 8:15 am for the Berean office. Below are a few pictures of our morning there.

We didn't have a lot of mail but enjoyed what work we got done and then enjoyed coffee and apple pie alamode for our break. A big storm came through while we were working. We stopped at the Hanna City post office to drop off the Bibles and studies going out today and drove through a nice soft rain all the way home. We got a half of an inch from this storm but more is expected tonight. I was not able to get the canoe today, the trailer tire was dropped off at Zanes and was not done to pick up until after work. Mark helped Mike get the tire back on this evening. Jacob dropped off that huge Meister Electric gooseneck trailer for Spark to empty. As I had the stock trailer in the way it was just easier to drive right through the barn then swing around and drop it facing the paddocks for easy hook up once it is empty. Rhoda came over with Hazel and her clippers. Rizzy got the spa treatment today as she is going to be picked up by her owners tomorrow. She got her hair cut, her nails trimmed and her teeth cleaned.
Iris came with them and she helped with the clean-up of hair.

As a reward I told her she could have the picture of her mom's favorite horse Patsy to hang up in HER room at home.
She was also given a Horsemeister shirt. That might be a bit large but she was quick to put it on. Rhoda left Hazel with us, they will be going out of town and will pick Hazel up on Sunday when they come for dinner. So far it has been working out well having the 2 dogs. Rizzy tells me when she wants to go out, Hazel goes with her and they both return at the same time. Hazel runs in and jumps on Mark's lap.
She is quite secure here.
Mike and Diane stopped by this evening. Mike is concerned about the waterer in the middle paddock. We need to shore that up with gravel. We can hear lots of thunder rumbling and can see flashes of lightning and according to the weather radio the rain will start again in 27 minutes.  I went out at 8:42 pm as the wind started but so far no rain.
We are SO very thankful for the rain.
At 9:00 pm the sky was lighting up every few seconds and by 9:03 pm the rain started.
