Another Blessed Sunday

We had another blessed Sunday and this one was even more special. It was our Sunday school Easter program.  We really enjoyed listening to the Easter story told through song, pieces and speakers.  We needed to stop for gas on the way home from church. The price has not dropped much in Peoria, it is still almost $4.50 a gallon. Once home the potatoes and carrots were added to the chuck roast simmering in the crock pots then Irish and her colt were taken out to the field where she took her colt to the bottom of the field.

After they were out and grazing the barn was cleaned up.  The sun was shining and the kids were at the playground but came here at 4:00 pm for our Sunday dinner. After dinner we sang happy birthday to Abe, he turns 5 years old in a couple days. The Sceggel family is going to be celebrating all the April birthdays in a couple weeks but since we had cupcakes he got a candle to blow out. Only a few of the kids wanted to do crafts. Below Kensley has just finished a unicorn windchime.  Iris also made one along with a Frozen bracelet.

The rest of the kids made their way to the playground for volley ball, trampoline fun and even a camp fire after dark.

Below is the busy playground.
I went in to mom's and played games with Joan, Karin, and Diane. Mom had LOTS of company including the 3 newest baby boys. Below is Brian Sauder.
Lee walked in with Baby Zeke.
And grandpa Fedi was sound asleep with his youngest grandbaby Walter.
Blair was all dressed up as a princess with mom's Mrs. America crown.  That is going to be the favorite with all the little girls.
Ruth was busy giving mom a driving lesson INSIDE the house.
I left mom's house at almost 9:00 pm by this time all the volley ball players had gone home and it was drizzling outside.  Irish and her colt needed to be brought inside.
Bonnie gave me the poem she wrote for her Thank you dinner. She put this to the tune of count your many blessings. I asked if I could share it here and she gave permission.
