Lights

It was a little hard to climb out of bed but by 5:30 am knowing the coffee was waiting we made it out. That coffee jump started the morning. Ruth, Diane and I walked, Joan was on her way to South Carolina and when we spoke to her on the phone was just a few hours away. She reported she got a couple hours of sleep when Faith took over during the night. They are driving there for Ian's wedding and will return on Sunday. As we have a wedding booked for Friday and Saturday I spent the morning cleaning the barn. When I was working on the upstairs game room I noticed the lights started flashing then half of them went out. I took a short video and sent it by text to Philip.

Not that I was panicking or anything but this bride and groom were having 75 guests and of course we want it nice for them.  About that time Sarah sent a text that she was giving pony rides to Zion, Eden and River. I quit working so I could watch them ride. When I reached the round pen was surprised to see Zion riding all by herself.

Eden  was waiting her turn while standing on the gate while River waited at the panel.
They were glad to ride double.
Below is a short video of their rides.
Anna brought a family out so Sarah offered to give pony rides. Taegan was told to give golf cart rides in the outdoor arena while the others were taking turns on Missy. As long as they were all busy it was what I thought to be the perfect time to take Madiera out to get covered by Evan. She stood well so we will try again tomorrow. When Missy was put away they all went swimming so I asked Mark to come help with the light in the game room.
One of the ends had not been plugged in far enough and that melted shorting out the entire row of lights.
Mark took the end light down over the batting cage and put that one up in the place of the melted one.
That worked and we  had light just about the time Philip walked in. Philip has extra of these light fixtures at the shop and will bring one up to replace the one Mark took down. The kids got done swimming and came inside. The bouncy house was a hit with the little ones, the gym was a hit with the big kids..
Mark spent a lot of the day weed whacking and more mowing. Not long after that was finished I got a phone call from the person coming to rent a camper so drove over to Joan's to get the paperwork ready.
They were taking the Salem 4. The airconditioner was turned on to cool the camper before the people arrived. Just then Rhoda called. She was going to be a little late picking us up for dinner tonight. I was glad she was late as the people coming for the camper were also a little late arriving about 5:25 pm. Rhoda had offered to take her dad  out for his birthday and I got to come along. Just as we were leaving the cabin horses came galloping over to visit Evan with Mike following licketysplit on his 4 wheeler. There was a lot of squealing, snorting and bucking going on for a few minutes.  We are not sure how they got out but they all went galloping back so all was well.  Mark's birthday was yesterday but we were busy with Family night so put that off until tonight. Rhoda took us to Gils Supper club. Below is the ribeye steak that was ordered.
Mark ordered a Cob salad and that also was good.
The ribeye came with 2 sides, a sweet potato and a salad and of course Gils threw in their signature corn fritters.
We enjoyed our dinner. Tomorrow we are also going out when we go to the Gathering place to hear  Latter Reign Band play live.  If anyone would like to join us feel free, it should be a praise filled night. If interested in going to that click HERE for more information.
