Blessings

We had another beautiful day, perfect for working and playing outdoors. After our walk and after breakfast Berlica came over to weed whack and Mackenson came to help Mark with the West side fence. My guests are a baseball team staying in the barn and were loading up into the bus to head to the tournament.  Even now at almost 9:00 pm they are still gone so they must have won and are still playing. They are staying here until Sunday morning.

The guests in the foaling apartment were also getting ready to load up. They came up from St. Louis area all the way here to watch the city of Peoria's firework display last night. They even took their 3 dogs to the fireworks.
Sarah, Taunya and Anna came to the lake today with their children and some guests. The beach was crowded. We discussed our winter vacation and Sarah booked a place in Naples, Florida. We will be joining David and Stephanie's family, Sarah and Nolan's family and maybe Phil and Anna's family. The place Sarah booked has a pool and a hot tub and it isn't too long of a walk to the beach. I stopped in at mom's to let her and Karin know that I was going to be gone after Christmas for a week. Mom was busy arranging flowers for her table.
My next job was to give Titus his medicine. He is much improved. He really is going to be spectacular when he grows up. He is already beautiful and won't be two years old until Aug 4th.

The grandchildren were all over at Rachel's jumping off the high dive when I finished with the horses. I drove the golf cart over with the freezer pops Anna left at the barn. They each got a freezer pop then loaded on the golf cart and taken to the playground.

I went down to the beach. Some of the kids were fishing and some were swimming.

When they finished swimming and fishing Sarah got Missy out and gave pony rides in the round pen with Missy.

I left while that was going on to meet Monica who wanted to go to Middle Grove to see Lily's colt. He will be 5 months old the end of this month and ready to wean. The horses were all glad to see us.

I left them with the horses and drove to where Ruth and Fedi are camping. Rebekah and  Brian were busy cooking steak over the fire for dinner and of course we stayed and had to sample their delicious supper.

Diane brought kettle corn for our dessert.
Ruth also made s'mores.
They have a beautiful view from their campsite. Ruth is so pleased with her camper.
Fedi shared the information from his Romania trip so that could be posted on the Berean Blog. Click HERE to read about his trip to Romania. Mom called as I was finishing up with that so I stopped in to visit her before heading back up to the barn to check on Jury who is due in 5 days. She was given a treat while I checked her udder.
That belly is so big and round surely she should deliver soon. There is no waxing and the udder isn't as full as it usually is right before delivery.
Today was busy, it is always fun to plan a vacation, especially one to somewhere warm when it is cold here. It was also a blessing that Titus is doing so well and was good to see how well the horses are doing at Middle Grove.
