Sunrise to Sunset

We had another beautiful sunrise but since I spent the night at mom's condo in Island Royale I could see the sun rise  out the water like a big air balloon.

It was still cold, only 43 degrees so after breakfast mom, Aunt Jinnie and I went to the 3rd floor to the exercise room first then stopped in at the library and back to the exercise room to read the books chosen. Joan was busy doing school with the kids so we didn't head back to the condo until close to noon. Ruth, Steven and Dan made it home and two hours later Ruth and Fedi's dog delivered her firrst puppy. Fedi was at Matt and Anni's house so Ruth was so glad they made it home in time.  FarKosh had 10 healthy strong puppies by this afternoon and all are nursing well.
We had grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup for lunch. After lunch it had warmed up enough that all of us went out to the beach.
Joan saw a big fish in the water near the beach, she and Faith went running into the water and got behind it to keep it in toward shore. She called to Berlica to grab a net but meanwhile lots of fishermen and fisherwomen came running with their poles. That fish wasn't biting. They followed it quite a ways toward the west.

The fish got away. A bit later mom wanted to feed the seagulls.
Not long after that another big fish came swimming toward the shore. This time Joan didn't jump in to try to corral it, this big fish was a shark.
Blair found a shark on the beach made from sand.
Her grandma Donna made it.
By late afternoon the wind picked up so we decided to go back to the condo and get ready to go to dinner at GT's on the Bay. Some of the food was really delicious.
The salad bar there is great but don't order the fried fish platter. That was over priced and just a few chunks of fish but lots of fried potato tots. They have some great pasta dishes and also very good pizza dishes. We made it home just as the sun had set in the West.
The picture below shows the oil rigs in the Gulf during sunset.
The lights of the high rises and beach houses were all coming on and twinkling in the coming darkness.
After church we were able to watch church on AC Central. Gregg Rumbold had the message. I called Mark at 8:30 pm and he still wasn't home from church as he stayed and visited. IF you are interested in seeing the pictures from sunrise to sunset today click HERE.
