We had clouds this morning then sunshine off and on during the day. Sunrise wasn't spectacular but still worth getting up early for.
Joan brought mom out to see the sunrise and soon Diane and Aunt Jinnie joined us.
Right after breakfast Diane took me to the repair shop to pick up the wheel chair van. I drove that back to the condo while Diane went to Target to pick up a watch for Aunt Jinnie. Today Joan and Diane went to the city planning to talk about the deck on Lani kai. That deck was put in wrong after hurricane Ivan and really needs to be replaced. The condo association hasn't taken care of this problem so Joan would like to hire a contractor to fix it but need first for the city to agree. They agreed to meet Joan at 2:00 pm tomorrow. When Joan got back she and the kids started with their school work so they spent most of the day inside. Diane and I went out to the beach. Rhonda was already there. The pelicans were diving, there must have been a lot of fish up by the surface. We watched them diving for quite a while.
Diane and Rhonda took off to walk the beach but ended up meeting Rachel so the 3 of them took their bikes to the lagoon and back. A lone seagull came and kept me company.
We all went back inside about the same time. Diane used her gift cards for the Shrimp basket to pick up dinner for everyone. We got the menu on line and everyone was picking out what they want. Mom decided she wanted a hamburger the said, "we shouldn't order a hamburger at at the Shrimp basket." Diane asked mom again, "what would you like to eat?" and again mom stated she wanted a hamburger so that was what was ordered for mom. The rest of us either chose fish, shrimp, crab claws or coconut pecan shrimp salad. I went with Diane to pick it up. The food was abundant and good except mom complained that her hamburger was dry. Sure enough, no one should order a hamburger at a fish restaurant. Below is Faith and the crab claws.
Below is mom with her hamburger.
Joan doctored it up with fresh tomatoes from mom's garden, pickles, ketchup and mustard. It was so big it took two hands to hold.
Mom said it helped but the hamburger didn't have good flavor and was over cooked. After supper Rachel came over to play games then Diane, Rachel and I went up to the roof top hot tub and stayed visiting until after 10:00 pm. Crazy to stay up so late. The pictures below are of FULL siblings. The first is Lily's 2021 filly Onyx by Valiant. She is just a year old and already over 15 hands.
The picture below is of Lily's 4 year old son Apollo by Valiant.
Lily and Valiant really do produce gorgeous foals!
