Monday at the Beach

Both Diane and I woke up around 6:30 am. After a cup of strong coffee I was ready to face the day. We drove to Walmart first to pick up a few groceries then started walking to Island Royal and ran right into Dan and Susan. We had a good chat then found out Rebekah's family is staying in the condo directly West of Island Royal. Ruth had taken mom over to see it so we also went over. It is amazing, 4000 square feet, 4 big bedrooms each with its own bathroom and beautiful views.

From there we got our suits on and all hiked out to the beach where Greg and Spark were fishing.

The water was refreshingly cool for this hot sunny day so we spent a lot of time in the water visiting. Rebekah's kids were all out playing in the waves and sand. Brian, her husband was out on the boat with the Herman's deep sea fishing. They had a good fishing day.

At 1:30 pm I needed to go in out of the sun so worked on Sunday's blog while listening to AC Central.  At 5:30 pm 17 of us met a DeSotos for dinner.

There are 8 of us siblings here now with many grandchildren and great grand children.  Rachel's husband David took the picture above. We all really enjoyed the dinner. When it came time to leave we had gathered around the wheel chair van as Ruth was running the lift.

Diane and I went to mom's condo to play games for the rest of the evening. What a LONG day on just 3 hours of sleep.
