Asking For Prayers

This morning was very cold, a heavy frost on the cars even though the thermometer was reading 34 degrees. That meant wearing a sweat shirt, rain coat and gloves.  Just Diane, Ruth and I walked, Joan has Co-Op on Fridays. We stopped in to visit with mom after the walk. Ruth was staying for the day but needed to take her dog home first.  Speaking of Farkosh  (not sure how to spell her name but that is how it sounds) her puppies are due Oct 22nd!

She is an AKC registered German Shepherd and is bred to an AKC registered German Shepherd so all of these pups will be AKC registered also. This is Farkosh's first litter so Fedi is staying home with her while Ruth leaves this evening with mom and Joan's family for Gulf Shores.  Diane, Faith and I leave on Sunday right after serving lunch and then Ruth will take our car home on Tuesday so she also can be home in time to help with the puppies. Mark is staying here to feed the cat each day and check on the horses.  Mike is here in case of an emergency but everyone else in this neighborhood is either already down there or heading down this weekend.
After the walk I went straight to the 5th wheel to start cleaning it. The guest that had been there for the last 5 nights left early this morning and the next guest is coming in today.  The 5th wheel was freezing. The furnace was turned on but not running so I checked the stove and sure enough we had run out of propane. Both tanks were removed and put in the car and taken down to Suburban gas now called Agland FS and filled. It costs $56.00 to fill them both. They were installed and wala the furnace worked. The 5th wheel was cleaned and the sheets changed then the laundry started at the house. The tanks were emptied but the black water tank was still showing 2 lights so the hose brought up to used the black water flush. That was done until the water ran clear but when checked the 2 lights were still on. Either the sensor isn't working or there is something stuck on it.  Next the supplies I had purchased earlier,  7 plastic containers of mixed nuts, 64 gogurts, 48 uncrustables and 5 cases of the 24 count 10 ounce bottles of water were loaded into the car to be taken to church but I stopped first at Sam's club first to pick up the rest of the stuff we are buying from there.  Three cases of 45 count water, 4 five pound bags of cuties, 5 bags of potato chips, 6 three pound boxes of green and red grapes, 2 thirty two count boxes of individual coffee cakes, and 1 box of 90 count Mott's fruit snacks, 3 of the $20.00 cookie trays, 2 boxes of brownie bites were purchased for church lunch. I also picked up a rotisserie chicken for our supper tonight, some rinse aid for the dishwasher and 300 count of plastic cups for the house. Tomorrow we will need to pick up the croissant sandwiches from Costco and take those to the church then Sunday at 8:30 am I will stop at Casey's to get the 6 dozen flips, 3 dozen cake donuts and 3 dozen long johns while Mark will go to Hy-Vee  at 8:30 am to pick up the 6 dozen glazed croissants and that should be plenty to feed everyone.  I drove to church and it was a lot to unload. The water was heavy so I drove to the front of the church, walked to the kitchen to get a cart and took the first trip with some of the water and the cookies and brownies, took those to the kitchen and unloaded them then headed back for the next trip when Spark and Mark walked in. Mark helped with unloading all the rest. It was 1:00 pm by the time I finally got home. The people coming to pick up the Keystone trailer were supposed to come between 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm but that didn't happen. I was cooking dinner for mom's house when they arrived about 4:45 pm. We were able to hook it up to their truck, they signed the title and were on their way. I ran back down to the house finished cooking the meal and took that over to mom's by 5:07 pm. Karin had a flat tire so Mark was helping her change the tire so it didn't matter that supper was a few minutes late.  Ruth arrived as we were eating our dessert so I left to go turn the barn lights on for the 5th wheel guests. It is raining tonight and windy. The apartment guests have arrived but the 5th wheel guests haven't checked in yet. Hope all goes well with their trip.  Joan, Ruth, mom, Berlica and Mackenson are pulling out by 8:00 pm tonight. Karin is helping mom with a whirlpool hot bath so she should be very relaxed and sleep for the trip. The recliner is loaded and strapped into the wheel chair van. Please pray that this trip could be safe and uneventful. It is a long 14 hour drive.
