Another Beautiful Day

Another beautiful day down here at sunny warm Gulf Shores, Alabama and another beautiful sunrise.

There were many pods of dolphins fishing this morning. Mom enjoyed seeing them from her balcony.

After breakfast it was warm enough to head to the beach but Joan dropped the van off first at an auto repair shop to get the fuel filter looked at. Diane and Beth picked her up and brought her back. The beach was getting crowded as today is Friday and many families are coming in for the weekend. Diane had the kids get her paddle board. Below Faith, Mackenson and Berlica were getting ready to haul it to the water.
We are thankful for the dune buggy wheel chair for mom. Mom and Aunt Jinnie enjoyed the beach today watching the fishing, paddle boating and the kids building sand castles.

Faith and Berlica were the first to go paddling in the Gulf.
Below they are coming in for a landing.
Joan gave paddle board rides.
Riley had a good time on that paddle board.
Soon Joan got her fishing poles out and she ended up catching 6 fish, 5 whiting and 1 mullet. Even Berlica pulled in a fish.
Later she was using the net and caught a lizard fish with sharp teeth.

Below was the most interesting fish of the day.
I think it looks like a baby puffer.
We all stayed out a long time. Joan took the fish over to Beth and Greg's place to clean them. Pictured below the blue house is Beth and Greg's taken from the balcony of my bedroom.
but tonight we didn't eat fish instead Joan grilled pork chops on the new electric grill. Janet, Floyd and Diane joined us. Dinner was delicious and the kids were all starving from playing outside all day. After supper we said good-by to Janet and Floyd who are leaving for home tomorrow morning and good-by to Rebekah and Brian's family who left this evening after supper. We played games again and Joan and I have now lost SIX games in row. That is really unheard of and yet it is the truth. We missed the sunset but the picture below was taken after dark showing the lights of the buildings by the beach.
