It was a lot colder this morning but we had a full day of sunshine and by late morning it was warm enough to take our jackets off and by this afternoon we were all in swimsuits. The sunrise was behind clouds but looked like a mountain with a ribbon of lava outlining the top.
After breakfast we all went for a walk first over to Beth's then to Rachel's, passed Sarah's, over to Paradise Isle Resort to check out their pool and hot tub then over to Rhonda's to see the work going on at their condo and finally sitting at the pool at Diane and Rhonda's complex. Rhonda went inside and got tea, ice and cups and handed out the drinks.
We all lifted our cups in thanks and saluted Rhonda.
Mom got too hot so some of us walked back to the condo to get suits on. We had to stop as there was a lizard on the path. Rachel took Diane's paddle board out into the gulf and the dolphins showed up. She started singing and they gathered around her instead of swimming away. The pictures were taken from mom's balcony. See that dot out there.
Below the picture is zoomed in.
Joan and the kids were doing school when Beth sent the picture below with the text, the pompano are biting.
Joan immediately declared school over for the day so she could get out with her pole.
At one point she had 2 fish on at the same time, pulled the one in left it then pulled in the second fish.
The day was so nice that Joan and Faith took the paddle board way out, all of a sudden big fish started jumping all around the board. They were too far out to get the video of the fish splashing around them. The video below is of them coming back in.
When they came back in Berlica and Aileigh took the board out but got dumped.
It was more fun to use the paddle board as a skim board in one of the tide pools.
Below Berlica was able to stand and skim.
Mom and Aunt Jinnie were content to watch the fish being pulled in the pelicans diving and the paddleboard being used.
We are very grateful for that dunebuggy wheel chair. We finally went back inside around 4:30 pm, cleaned up and had leftovers for dinner. Everyone was famished from all the outside activity but there was still plenty of food left over from Lamberts last night. At 6:45pm we were able to get church up on the big screen. David had the message.
IF it is recorded and posted on AC Central I'll post it here tomorrow but for now I'm really ready for bed.
