Sunday at the Gulf

We had clouds early this morning. Not a lot of clouds, just enough for the sun to paint the sky beautiful pink, red, orange and gold before the sun actually made it's appearance.

It is always cool when the sun looks like it is melting into the Gulf. In the picture below the sun is reflecting off the clouds above and the water below.
As it rises the blob on the water gets less and less until the separation happens first looking like it is balancing on a pedestal then the reflection slowly disappears and the sun becomes around ball again.
Spark and Greg to out the pontoon boat on the lagoon behind Greg and Beth's house and caught some flounder and a big speckled trout. They caught a lot of pin fish but so many had big bites out of them by the time they pulled them in. Spark said everything they caught had teeth. Below are the only fish they kept from this morning.
The picture doesn't really show how big they are. I should have asked the measurements of the cleaning table but I'm pretty sure it is 2 and a half feet wide.
Here in our condo we had a good breakfast of bacon, eggs, and toast then got ready for church. Joan is able to use her phone to cast ac central onto the big screen tv in this condo. Tim Roecker had the first service on Samson. Mike had the second service. After church and after lunch we all went back out on the beach. Joan and Spark did more fishing while Faith and Berlica fed the gulls the left overs from breakfast.

The sun was so warm almost all of us took naps in the sun except Spark and Joan.
Spark and Joan fished.
Fishing wasn't quite as good as yesterday but still fun. At 4:00 pm mom decided we should go in to get ready to head to Beth and Greg's for our Sunday dinner. Joan brought over the fish caught today to clean at Greg's cleaning station. Fred the blue heron came flying over to eat the fish skeletons as Joan was stripping off the filets.

After Fred was finished and Joan was done the food for the dinner was served. THIS was the BEST meal of the trip! We had all we could eat of good fresh fish and shrimp and that was served with ALL kinds of other delicious dishes. (it was potluck and we had quite a variety)
Below we have just about finished eating.
Dessert was also delicious.
Mom and Aunt Jinnie are waiting for the campfire to be started as the rest of the group were cleaning up dinner or building the fire.
The fire felt good as the night became a little chilly.
A very nice update came in on Hadassah's 2021 filly by Evan. Her owner writes: Hello Judy!
I hope this email finds you well. I can’t believe this baby has been with me a year, time has just flown by. She has become the love of my life. She has changed me, she has made me a better person, a happier wife, a better mother, and happier then I ever though imaginable. She routinely and regularly gives me her Dee hugs, and it is the favorite part of my day. I always start and end my day with a Dee hug.She has GROWN so much. She is not a small baby anymore. She is loving just being a horse. She even acquired a big brother, Max. He is a rescue boy who has arthritis but loves her. She lets us pony her around everywhere. I could not have asked for a better minded baby. She LOVES the trailer and going places, we take her to the Vet, of whom she loves. The farrier loves when she comes because she is such a fun girl. Giant no bubble Dee. I call her that because personal space is foreign to her. Be careful if you have the garden rake, she will demand a full body Scritch! She LOVES dirt, and being dirty. She loves cats because they are pushed about easily. Nothing phases her. You bred a wonderful baby. Everyone loves her.I am so grateful you let me call her my own, and so grateful for her every day. Until next update, I hope you and your family are blessed and happy.
