Right after the walk this morning, around 8:10 am I started on moving bales again and this time the job was finished. All 54 bales are now safe in the barn. They were put up dry and stayed dry. I am very thankful to have this job done.
In the picture below there are a couple things to notice. The fields are empty of round bales and that little orange dot is a tractor at the far end.
Zoomed in you can see the tractor is missing a tire.Mark had to leave it at the far end, use his car to drive out to remove the tire and load it into his car. He took it to East Peoria Tire to have it repaired. Tomorrow it will be put back on the tractor.
We had a little cooler day with much less humidity. The mares and foals are in the shaded paddock and did fine today outside. Below is Jewel with her filly.
Below is Oksana, her colt, Rosaleigh and her filly standing at the fence line for attention.
Their paddock opens up to the back field if they want to graze. I was pleased they seemed to be content to stay in the shade eating off the round bale. The stalls were cleaned up from yesterday. Those horses had to stay in the air conditioned stalls until 9:00 pm at night last night so the stalls were pretty bad. At 3:00 pm I headed over to mom's and finished there around 4:30 pm. Mark and I went to church this evening. It is vbs and we had a visitor from Princeville who spoke on Peter. After the message we were all invited to a pizza party. We stayed until after 8:00pm but then left so I could get the colt fed before dark. Today was such an easy and almost lazy day. The only work that got done in the house was cooking and dishes. Tomorrow I'll HAVE to do laundry.
