Corned Beef

We had a good fast walk this morning but almost didn't quit in time as I needed to be changed and over at 8:15 am to pick up Aunt Jinnie.  I made it just in time.  We had a very good morning at the Berean office. If you would like to read about that click HERE. I was going to stop at Sam's club on the way home to pick up more corned beef except realized when we reached the Berean office that I had forgotten my purse. Instead we took the Bibles to the Hanna City post office then drove to mom's. The Palliative care nurse was there checking mom out.  Today was a good day.  Mom's hard days are when she doesn't get enough sleep at night and she had 3 bad nights in a row. So we were pretty thrilled that last night she slept well and had more energy. She was walking better and back to being able to pull herself up.  The day was so nice Joan had her kids all doing school out on the deck. After leaving mom's I drove to Costco to pick up corned beef but they were all out.  Kroger was the next stop and not only did they have it, it was a $1.00 per pound cheaper than Costco.  We now have 12 pounds of corned beef, 4 big cabbages, plenty of carrots, potatoes and onions.  Aunt Jinnie is going to be cooking us an Irish meal on Friday. None of us really knows what this is going to taste like as we have not had this before but in New York they have this meal every St. Patrick's day. We will be having it just 1 day late. This evening mom wanted a whirlpool so Karin and I put her into the tub and when she was done took her out.  Rhonda and Diane came over so we played games until mom was ready for bed.  It was a fun evening.  Tomorrow I need to head back out to Middle Grove to check Irish. Mike was out yesterday, the horses are all doing great.
