Lola Waxing

This morning around 6:00 am I went to the stall barn to let Lola and Jury out and finally a week late Lola is waxing. They were turned out and the stalls cleaned and then because we were going to be leaving for church and not getting home until 2:00 pm they were both brought back in. I really don't want to take a chance on Lola delivering outside. We had a wonderful day in church. Rick Kaisner was visiting and had the morning service on Gideon while Tim Roecker had the afternoon service the 2nd lesson of  our end time series.  After church we drove straight up to the barn to check on Lola. No baby yet. She and Jury were turned out into the big field then I went in to start Sunday supper. Tonight not everyone could come. Sarah just got home from the hospital with baby River this morning so she and Nolan didn't come. David's family also couldn't come. Taunya was watching Zion and Eden for Sarah and Nolan and brought them along with Ben, Addyson, Jack, Jace and Abe.  Lee, Rhoda and Iris came and Phil, Anna, Braelyn, Taegan, and Kensley. After dinner the youngest and I went on a golf cart ride hunting dinosaurs. We got to the dinosaur egg and were surprised by young dinosaurs coming out of the ravine.

They came roaring out at us. Those 4 ran on ahead and we followed on the golf cart.
We explored the area then headed back to the playground.
The volley ball games were going full swing.
The cheering section arrived but the only one watching was Nancy, the rest of us were all visiting.

Taunya got stung by a wasp.
The older kids took off for a walk.
The younger ones found plenty to play with.

Rhoda came with me to help bring the mares in. Irish needed to be teased and covered so we also got a few pictures of her colt. He is so curious and bold.
He has a thick curly mane and tail and will end up quite a handsome fellow. He should end up 15.2 or taller and have thick long feather.

He also has very good movement.

This colt will be registered and dna'd in the Gypsian book of Friesian Heritage Horse International registry. He IS for sale and will make some person VERY happy. He is priced at $6500.00 which is a bargain for such a quality colt. Irish stood well for her cover.  Rhoda and Lee were taking Zion and Eden to their home to meet their new baby sister. Before leaving both girls got a bubble bath.
They are excited to meet their new sister. Sarah posted the pictures below of them meeting her for the very first time.

Joan's daughter Sarah took Mark's stitches out this evening. We are so thankful for Sarah and she did it during her birthday party. Her birthday was yesterday but celebrated today.
I have Lola on the monitor tonight and am expecting her to deliver. She is currently standing quietly and does not seem to be in the first stage of labor. In that stage they do a lot of pacing in the stall. I'll try to sleep for a few hours then start watch after midnight.
