Late Night Emergency

After awaking I happened to check my phone and saw there was a missed phone call from David at 11:45 pm. I sent him a text and he replied quickly that Stephanie was taken to the hospital with suspected appendicitis. Anna was the only person that answered her phone at that time of night. She drove down to the hospital, met David there and took his car with Israel and Elisabet to their house and then just stayed the night leaving David her car. Kristen, Stephanie's sister picked up the kids this morning and took them to church then Mark and I took the kids from there.  It was not appendicitis but a twisted intestine. She will need surgery then will be in the hospital for a few more days. What a way to celebrate Easter!  Speaking of Easter, our service in Peoria was humbling. We started with a delicious breakfast from Renee Endres then into the sanctuary for the program. The Sunday school kids sang first then Ryan and Dusty Funk sang and those songs brought the tears. Tim Funk had the message. If you get a chance listen to it by going to AC Central. We took Elisabet and Israel home with us. After changing out of the Sunday clothes we went out to move Rosalie and her new filly out of the barn and into the field. It was a beautiful day to be outside. We took them first into the stall to put the halter on the filly. Israel and Elisabet both got to pet her while I touched her all over and picked up her hooves.

She had fun once we let them outside.

Israel helped move Ripper while I moved Sangria into the short shelter paddock then Mark brought a bale out for the big paddock for Rosalie and her filly.
It is dry and not supposed to rain tonight so they may as well stay the night outside. Karin showed up about then with 4 other riders leaving an extra horse so Israel could go on the trails too. Sarah rode Oksana and Israel rode Cookie.

Karin rode Ripper, Hannah rode Sangria, Faith rode Sally, and Berlica rode Missy. They had a fun ride.
Elisabet and I followed until they started heading down the dam hill then headed back to start cooking the rib roast for our Easter dinner. Below are some pictures of the group heading to the trails.

Taunya arrived at 4:00 pm and helped load the food into the car and also took both Israel and Elisabet over to Phil and Anna's house. We enjoyed a nice Easter dinner with the Esslingers and Sceggels. After dinner everyone came back here for volley ball.
The kids have just as much fun as the adults.

Below they have found swords and are playing Knights guarding the castle (the tree fort) inside the castle are Addyson and Taegan.
About that time David sent a text that he was on his way to pick up Israel and Elisabet. Those two were taken back to the house. While waiting Israel helped grain the stallions. The daffodils are blooming beautiful for Easter so we needed to take a couple pictures of them.

The come up each year and remind of the resurrection which is what the real reason we celebrate Easter. He is RISEN INDEED!
