Surprise Birthday Party

More rain this morning, the mares were kept locked in the indoor arena. That was cleaned up this morning before getting ready for church. Mom tried brushing her own hair this morning. I had to take a picture of it then show her how she could not go to church that way. I'm not posting the picture here, it really was pretty messy from the back and sides but it was a good try. She hurt her shoulder while down in Gulf Shores and has been doing therapy to get it working again. Her hair was redone and we were on our way. We got there early and already the parking lot was starting to fill up. Today we were celebrating communion for the second service. David Obergfel had the first message on John 13th through 17 Jesus' last message to his disciples AND us before going to the cross.  I HIGHLY recommend listening to it on AC Central. If you can't get on that website for any reason just send me a text and I'll be glad to download it and email the sermon to you. These are words for each of us. Tim Funk had the communion service and that was somber and very touching. We knew the kids were coming here for dinner but didn't know they were coming for birthday parties too. We celebrated all the April birthdays today which included Abe, Addyson and me. Mark grilled hamburgers and hotdogs for supper then the birthday cakes were brought out. Abe went first as his birthday is first in April.

Next came Addyson's turn. I had to video the singing as Iris was belting out the song.

Rhoda brought out the first gift. Any clue as to who this was for?
IF you guess Abe Judah you were exactly right!
Addyson's gift was next.
They have a lake by their house and she had been wanting one.
Then came my turn. Zion wanted to blow out the candles so she sat on my lap for the song and did very well blowing out those candles.
The kids AND Mark really splurged and bought a new laptop. They were only able to justify this by combining birthday, mothers day and Christmas.
Phil and Ben installed all the programs I need plus put a really cool program on to help design the new barn. We had fun working on that tonight. Meanwhile the kids went outside to play in the barn. Addyson gave the younger kids golf cart rides up to the barn.
Braelyn and Kensley stopped to pick grass and feed Valiant on their way up to the barn.
It was still quite cool so the kids wrapped Eden up in a Horsemeister sweat shirt. Jace thought she looked like Darth Vader.

Zion is showing us her grumpy face, she wanted to go to the barn right away and didn't want Addyson to stop for the pictures.

Missing today was David and Stephanie's family. She is still trying to heal up from surgery.
