Picking UP Jenis

Diane, Ruth and I hoofed it on our walk this morning finishing before 8:00 am. After the walk the Exiss 4 horse trailer was unhooked from the 2003 truck and that truck hooked to the 2 horse trailer and headed to Middle Grove. Once there the truck and trailer were driven to the back area by the lakes but no horses were in sight. I drove back to the main gate, parked and started hiking up the hill. Sure enough the herd was lounging under the trees.

The camera was zoomed in to the left to see half of the herd.
Next the camera was zoomed in to the right.

Above is Galena, below are Lola, Rosalie and Oksana.

Above are Jewel and her filly by Evan and Below are Sheena and her filly by Valiant.

Above is Hadassah's filly by Evan. She is 75% Friesian and WILL GRAY. Her registered name is Maddalen (meaning magnificent) and is for sale for $5000.00.  She has amazing movement and will have all the hair a purebred Friesian has. She is going to be amazing and very unique with her coloring. Below are Jenis standing in front of Lily. Jenis has already been haltered for her walk down to the trailer.

Above are Rosaleigh and her colt by Evan and below is Kyro, Madiera's colt by Evan. Both are very friendly and VERY impressive.

Above is Madiera and below is Isla, Madiera's 2 year old daughter by Valiant.

Above are Tatiana and her filly by Valiant and below is Lily, the matriarch of our herd.
Below is Rosalie, Lily's daughter. She is telling Ripper to move away from her. Rosalie just pins her ears and everyone moves off. She doesn't need to do anything else then to pin her ears.
Below is Jewel's filly by Evan. She is such a sweet filly and typical of all Jewel's foals, mega hair and huge movement.
Sangria and Jenis were led back down the hill to the trailer, loaded and brought home. Jenis will be leaving next week for her new home, Sangria will be going horse camping on Friday with 4 other of our riding horses. Rhoda asked if I could find the hay nets for the camping trip. I found 3 but we need 5 so Taegan and I worked on making one out of a feed bag. We think it worked GREAT.
Down in Gulf Shores, Nolan was having a good day fishing.
Zion was happy to pose for the picture below.
The hurricane is now supposed to go farther west and not make landfall at Gulf Shores but the city of Gulf Shores have issued a mandatory evacuation. The last hurricane Hurricane Sally was supposed to go West but instead came ashore right in Gulf Shores. I think the officials are worried that this hurricane will change directions too.  Barbara and Janet have changed their airline tickets leaving now from Peoria and will be driving mom and Aunt Jinnie here.
