October Birthdays

Another cold morning, it looks like our 2020 summer is now gone for good. Thankfully today was Sunday and the SON shown brightly in church. Craig Stickling had the first service. The funny thing about this was a couple weeks ago Stephanie told us David was going to have the 9:00 am service and I told someone at Berean whose son went to school with David all the way through high school. If this person had seen David it would have been 24 years ago so when Craig stood up to speak I just had to chuckle. I could just imagine the the reaction of that person, He looks a lot older than my son, my is he a powerful speaker.  I'll  have to make that right on Tuesday. Craig really did have a powerful message on Jeremiah with the potter's clay. We actually had donuts between services. Tim Roecker had the afternoon message, that too was powerful. At the end we all stood up and sang # 80 in the combined hymnal. After church we met at mom's house at 3:00 pm to pray for our nation and the up coming election. We also surprised mom with an early Christmas gift.

This is one of those robot vacuum cleaners. Mom was very surprised.  Rebekah and Brian came and brought their kids. Below is Riley Jane riding mom's big rocking horse.
Molly had made herself very comfortable in Aunt Jinnie's chair until Diane kicked her out.
David and Stephanie arrived with their family. They went for a walk down the cabin lane until it was time to head back for supper.
Tonight we had chicken stir fry over rice with an appetizer of a cup of potato soup from the auction last night. All was delicious. After supper we had a birthday party for Zion age 3, Kensley age 6 and Taegan age 8.
Below are a few pictures.

The kids really enjoyed the cupcakes.

Eden was busy playing in the other room so didn't end up with blue lips.
Taegan was pretty thrilled with her gift of an artist case.
From there the big kids went to the apartment to move in the new fridge from Ben and Taunya's house and installed it in the apartment. They even installed the icemaker. The fridge from the apartment will come here. We took one golf cart ride with all 12 grandkids on the golf cart to go to Joan's house to see the motorhome. The golf cart is rated for 4 people but we had 13 on. My mom told us there is always room for one more.  The volleyball players played volley ball but only 2 games it got dark too soon and was much to cold. This was the last Sunday outside games of the season. Next week they move the games to the Hanna City gym. An update came from the daughter of the lady that bought Jenis saying, "Isn't she cute!" with this picture:
I didn't know the daughter and didn't recognize the horse believing it must be one of our foals that are grown up and asked, "Who IS She?" I'm pleased that they are enjoying Jenis and very pleased with the care she is getting. Amy's test came back and she tested negative for Covid as did mom.
I need to be up at 4:30 am and then pick up mom at 5:00 am to take her to St. Francis to get her heart shocked so am heading to bed now.
