More Good byes

On the walk today everyone wore their Horsemeister sweat shirts so of course I had to run ahead and snap a picture. My phone really doesn't take very good pictures.

I quit walking at 7:45 as Nolan arrived to load Jenis into the 2 horse trailer. He was delivering her to her new home today. Jenis was the most expensive horse we ever bought. We bought her at 2 years of age and we did all the training on her. She gave us 5 amazing foals all by Raven.

She was amazingly trained and would do pretty much anything we asked of her along with being beginner safe. We will really miss her but all good things must come to an end and Jenis deserved the very best of homes. Nolan got back here around 2:30 pm and reported she was going to be pampered the rest of her life! The place was beautiful and huge.  Joan took her kids and Braelyn hiking to Rocky Glenn today while I kept Taegan and Kensley. They helped with the feeding. This evening was church and then at 8:30 pm Mark came up to the barn with me to help back the trailer into the arena and load Joshua. He was hauled to the water tower where a huge semi truck and trailer met us.
The driver needed a few minutes to set up a box stall for Joshua and the entire time that was happening Joshua stood there watching it all quietly. When it was time he walked up the ramp and into the stall like a pro. The driver was very impressed and made the comment, "the 5 year old we put in there earlier kept trying to jump out and had to be put in slants and a yearling is perfect."
Of course this is a Horsemeister yearling, we expect our horses to be well behaved! Below the driver is putting away the ramp while Joshua looks on.
The lady that bought Soul's colt by Evan 2 years ago posted the picture below. She wrote, "He is SO Hairy!"
This afternoon an instant booking came in for the apartment. This is a couple with a child driving from Texas to Wisconsin and the wife is pregnant. They were going to keep driving but the wife decided she is tired and wants to stop so they booked and hopefully will get a good nights sleep. I ran to Dollar General to pick up some breakfast items for them as I don't have any cookies from Stephanie. I remember what it is like being pregnant and needing to eat something in the morning.
