Fall Trail Ride

Brrr it was chilly this morning. It is hard to get moving when one's feet are frozen. I actually went back to bed and turned the electric blanket to high to warm them up before putting the socks and shoes on. Magda and Isaiah showed up to work the stallions early. I didn't know they were there until after they had worked with Valiant and were bringing Evan out. Isaiah reported that Valiant was a bucking machine in this cool windy weather. Evan was more laid back but my he has such beautiful movement.

After both Isaiah and Magda worked with Evan he was put away and they all headed over to the cabin to take a fall trail ride. Below are a few pictures of the ride.

On this ride Isaiah rode Mika, Magda rode Jury, Nicole rode Missy, Mia rode Cookie and Karin rode Sally.
The red berries growing on the shrubs are feeding the birds during this time.

Below is a short video of the horses cantering up the steep cabin hill.

That was finished just after 1:00 pm and the next guests were sent a message through airbnb that the apartment was ready for them to move into. Rhoda came over to use the microscope. She wanted to check semen quality on a dog and was pleased to see lots of swimmers.
All the laundry from the apartment and this house was finished by this evening. I'm very glad the apartment is well stocked with extra sheets and towels and I didn't need to wait for the machines to finish to finish getting the apartment ready.  Mark planted bulbs this morning, lots and lots of them with different varieties. We should have a beautiful spring.
This evening he went to Home Depot to buy a lamp holder as he bought new great big LED lights for the indoor arena. He also brought home a cod dinner from Culvers which we split for our dinner tonight. That was delicious! Another wonderful review came in for the apartment: “Horsemeister is a great place to stay! Super clean and comfortable place to stay. Laundry facilities and Netlix on the TV. And of course the horses! I brought my daughter out for her birthday because she loves horses and it was a perfect time! She was very happy to "take care" of them in the evening. She misses Cookie already.”
