More Norris

After that long day in the sun yesterday we weren't sure if we could roll out of bed. Thankfully neither of us were that sore and soon we were getting ready for another wonderful Sunday.  I stepped outside and saw a cloud descending.

It came down but by the time we left for church had all burned off.  We left for church at 9:00 am and actually beat Joan and mom. Shortly after sitting down Kathy came in with Nancy.  She sure loves to come to church and we are really thankful Kathy is willing to bring her.  Gregg Rumbold had the morning message on Isaiah 35 and Romans 8 If you would like to watch that click HERE. Mike and Mindy served lunch today and Nancy was really pleased to see we were having hotdogs. Of course there were also wonderful treats to go with that.  David had the afternoon message on Luke 3 John the Baptist. That was another thought provoking need to listen again message. Click HERE if you would like to watch that.  Fedi had the closing prayer. We left right then as we had much to do to get ready for the afternoon and evening. The guest in the 5th wheel left while we were at church and the next one was moving in this afternoon. We got home from church around 2:00 pm and drove straight to the 5th wheel to grab the sheets and towels for washing. Once those were in the washer the oven was turned on and 3 boxes of brownies were mixed up. While waiting for the oven to heat up 6 eggs were put on the stove to hard boil and the watermelon cut up. The two white folding tables were washed and folded then Mark took those out to his car, drove over to the barn and loaded up a bunch of chairs. When he came back he started on making the hamburgers. Those were taken over to the new barn to grill. While he was doing that I mixed up two pans of rice crispy treats, made a pot full of baked beans and heated up the hot dogs and brats that were cooked yesterday. The beans and all the meat was put in the yeti cooler which keeps things nice and hot. The salad stuff, water melon, all the condiments were put in the other cooler with ice.  The buns, chips, bowls and utensils were put in an aldi bag and by 4:00 pm we were on our way to Norris. The picture below is of Mark's very full car as we were driving there.
Almost everyone had already arrived. Sarah's girls were enjoying the cleaned up kayak Joan found covered in mud and in the weeds.
The kids were really enjoying the beach but when they went to the other side of the lake and found the double decker dock and the slide that became their favorite fun place to be. They were shuttled back and forth with the sailboat, canoes and kayaks. No pictures of them over there, the adults too were all having too much fun to think about taking pictures and I didn't want to walk that far.

We finally got them back over for dinner around 5:30 pm.
They pretty much all went back after supper but came back as the sun was setting.

Joan had a nice fire going, we sat round that fire until it was way past our bedtime.

Another wonderful Sunday.
