On our walk this morning we stopped at the cabin now that it is ready to rent. Diane was showing us the kitchen when I happened to look out the window and just had to laugh. I walked over and opened the back door to get a better picture. That is Sally sticking her head through the door and Dancer waiting patiently at the railing.
Diane put the futon down to get a picture of it as a bed. It is a queen size and very comfortable. The futon is easy to put down.
We continued over to Rachel's house to see their big project. Rachel has one level all done, good dirt added and plants planted.
I left after one round to grab the vacuum out of the barn and took that to the Jayco 5th wheel to sweep the carpet. Guests are checking in today. The water was turned on then over to mom's I went for the day. It was drizzling this morning so we watched the true story of the runner Eric Lindell, the missionary in China who was taken prisoner during the war then ended up dying in a Japanese prison camp about 5 months before the end of World War 2. Of course we both cried. What an amazing giving person he was and how much he went through at the end of his life they showed the prisoners singing Be Still My Soul. The sun came out around noon so we had our lunch on the deck and had fun watching the hummingbirds. There were 2 of them that kept facing off with each other and fighting. I wasn't able to catch that on video but caught them drinking at the feeder.
Below are a few pictures. These hummingbirds move so quickly it is hard to get a clear picture.
hen Karin got home I left for home and found the 3 crockpots ordered from Walmart had been delivered along with 48 more spoons. Those were taken to the new barn and put away. While taking them out of the packaging John and Jackie walked in to check out the barn. I'm always thankful to see family. Mark and I had a late lunch eating at 2:45 pm so no cooking supper tonight. Mike sent the video below a couple weeks ago but I forgot to share it. This was taken before we took the last two mares and foals out.
This evening the girls volleyball games were moved indoors because of rain. The dads were inside watching football while the girls played.
I took the video with my phone from the upstairs game room.
All of these players are related and from the area. They are sisters, first cousins, second cousins aunts, and great aunts. LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing them play together.
