It was only 16 degrees outside this morning and windy to boot. Of course the water buckets were frozen and so was the automatic waterer we have been having trouble with. Mark put the hair dryer in that on low while I carried buckets of water to the 3 that needed it. By 10:00 am the waterer was open and running well. Mike put a 100 watt light bulb in which will keep it open before he and Diane left for Gulf Shores. Anna dropped off the girls and took the truck for Meister Heating. Mark and the girls joined Mackenson, Berlica and Joan to empty the flat bed trailer and stack the wood.

Truck Found
They were able to finish just before 11:00 am.
The trailer was taken back to the new barn and left there before heading to our house to get ready to go to Mings for lunch.
Mark promised the kids if they worked today he would take them to the lunch buffet there. They all had a wonderful time picking out new foods to try.
The desserts were their favorite.
Mings is in Pekin, and when we got home from Pekin we heard the news that the Meister Heating truck that was stolen 2 days ago was found in Pekin. Phil and Anna drove over to get it. The key was gone as was gas but Phil had a spare key and the truck drove fine so we just lost a key and gas. We are all very thankful. That truck is needed almost every day. Valentino who was supposed to leave for his new home today didn't. His owner will now come on Tuesday afternoon. He has to be left in the stall again tonight as the ground was so frozen we called Tom and told him not to come. The leak has the ground frozen solid. Tom had already picked up a new hydrant so said he would swing by and check it out, hopefully it will warm up enough soon to fix it. The colt was given a fresh bucket of water, his grain for the evening and more hay before we needed to leave for potluck at 5:30 pm. Hannah and her brother Caleb hosted tonight. We had a wonderful meal along with wonderful fellowship. I'm very thankful for potluck.
