Worth the Work

Today Beth invited the Berean volunteers out to her house for lunch and then to the Goose Ranch for a gospel cruise. Joan and Diane brought mom while I was the lead car for the group coming from Peoria. Marvin and Gale drove out early to help along with Rhonda and Bill and Joan came straight from their house.

Lunch was delicious. After lunch I headed home as I needed to finish cooking the food for tonight's meal while the rest went out on the big lake at the Goose Ranch. Joan Schick sent back a couple pictures and some videos of the singing. They started out with two boats and then tied the two together for the singing.

At 4:45 pm Mark and I headed out to the fellowship hall to set up for dinner. Mark went right to work bringing a couple tables outside while I worked inside on the food. We had a big group for dinner. After dinner we all went inside. Below they are singing while we finished the clean up.
Jeff brought his potter's wheel and gave a wonderful talk while making a pot, breaking that and starting all over then making a vase out of the broken pot using Jeremiah 18.

It was a long day but SO worth the work. We have such a wonderful church family. A special thanks to Joan, Faith, Diane, Stephanie and David who helped with the meal tonight.
