I was up before the coffee was finished and had to wait about 10 minutes for a cup. At 6:15 am I went out to feed the cat and then drive the car in to Hanna City for a tank of gas except when I reached the car the front driver's side tire was low. Instead of feeding the cat I drove to Mike and Diane's, used their air compressor and filled the tire. By that time I would not have enough time to drive to Hanna City and back so just headed in to Peoria and filled the tank at the gas station on Airport Rd before heading to the McDonald's parking lot down by route 24. I was to meet Nolan there at 7:00 am to switch cars and take the girls home with me. We had a good time this morning. Phil was working at the barn so we drove the car over to see if his girls were with him but they weren't so it was up to grandma to play with the girls. We started out doing crafts.

Tired Tonight.
It is Zion's favorite thing to do. Even River enjoyed it.
The morning was so nice we went to the playground to play.
At noon Mark went to the Warehouse to pick up lunch. Phil came for lunch with a surprise. A hummingbird was stuck in the barn and not able to fly so he brought it to us.
I ran it over to mom's house, gave it to Berlica to see if Joan could get some nectar into it but it was too far gone and died a few minutes later. Joan had to leave mom's by 1:00 pm so I took the girls there until Karin arrived then took them back to put River down for a nap. Thankfully Amy arrived about then with all kinds of fun things for the girls to do.
A favorite was the sidewalk chalk she brought.
When River woke up we headed over to the lake.
Zion caught a frog that still had a little bit of a tail left from it's tadpole days.
The kids were playing nicely in the lake when Amy gasped and jumped up She was sure she saw an alligator! Below is what she saw.
It really did look like an alligator but it was just a raft floating away from someone's beach. It's not just me that has a vivid imagination. We took the girls back to the house for supper. Below is a short video of the day.
Nolan arrived as we were finishing up. Their team played 16 games and the final game was the championship.
They came in second at the Marigold festival volleyball tournament. Not bad. Amy and I decided to have an easy night and drove to Gils for supper. Not really a good idea on a Saturday night. We arrived before 6:00 pm had to wait about 20 minutes before being seated then had to wait an hour for our food. The food was very good and the prices are reasonable but I think we were both too tired to want to wait for dinner that long. I was thankful for her help today, those girls were pretty active and this grandma is tired tonight.
