Our morning was cold and damp. While running up to the apartment on the golf cart just before 8:00 am I noticed Sheena is in season teasing to Valiant.
As this is the first day she is showing she will be covered tomorrow but not to Valiant, we will cover her with Evan.
Sheena and Blueberry will be moved into the middle paddock after that cover as their bale is almost gone. I checked the cabin field bale and those horses still have plenty. I was at mom's by 8:00 am. Berean was cancelled this morning, too many of the volunteers had too much to do to get ready for Thanksgiving and I was one of them. After leaving mom's I drove to Sam's club to pick up the fruit for the fruit bowl some big disposable aluminum pans for cooking the turkeys, onions and celery for the stuffing, and candy to go in the nut and candy cup by each place setting. The pies, fruit, whipped cream, plates, and napkins were taken over to the barn. Mark is going to help set up the tables tomorrow morning. Today was a day spent organizing and then ordering things needed for Thanksgiving but also for the winter. All of our winter gloves, hats and scarves were gone through, gloves mated up and those without mates pitched. We had so many left handed work gloves but very few right handed ones left. That comes from pulling off the right glove, setting that down to work then leaving it. Mark found some he liked on Amazing so ordered 1 pair for me and 1 pair for him. While ordering I also ordered the new pro pickleball net, paddles and balls. The paddles are USAPA approved and the net has wheels and a hand winch, is tournament regulation size and has the anti-sag design and comes with a carrying case which can be used to store it.
This is a fun addition to the gym.
