David & Leah's Baby Shower

After a good nights sleep I was more than ready to face the day.  It's so easy when the day turns out to be Sunday, the favorite day of the week and we get to go to church. Mark was fixed a nice breakfast as he was hungry from not eating much last night.

HE ate all but the peppers, he had asked for them but then decided he would rather have an avocado instead so the peppers were put away for this evenings meal. This morning before church I was praying that I would listen, hear, learn and remember what ever the minister would preach on.  David had the first message. He sure has a the gift of teaching. This is another one of those messages that everyone needs to hear. If YOU would like to watch this message click HERE. The second service was the reading of the memorandum by Tim Funk and Craig Stickling. To watch that click HERE. After church Rachel and her girls were hosting a baby shower for David and Leah. I went over to drop off the present while they were getting ready and had to take a picture of the food table.
I had a little more food prep for dinner tonight before joining the shower.  We got to meet Lucy Grace, Samantha and Tyler's brand new baby girl.
The next few pictures were taken from Rachel as hers were better than mine.

I left there at 3:30 pm to finish the cooking for the meal tonight. The shower was well attended and a lot of fun.
Nolan came over to help Mark take the cap off the fireplace chimney so he can clean out the chimney tomorrow. I finished cooking the rice, then hauled all the food over to the barn. We only had 2 missing from the entire family but Taunya's dad Ron joined us as did Berlica so we were back to 26. Dinner was really good, tonight was haystacks and everyone seems to enjoy that meal. Lee brought along some of his hot peppers. After supper came the games. Israel brought along streamers so Berlica and Taegan made dresses out of that for the little girls.
Israel made a ball and was able to throw it very successfully. Below are a couple other pictures of the evening.

Rhoda took Nancy home tonight. Nancy had the best time at church and then also came to the shower. It was another wonderful Sunday and I'm thankful.
