Celebrating Independence On the First

We had more rain during the night a nice soft rain of about a quarter of an inch.  After breakfast Mark was taken over to the new barn to weed as they should pull out easy. I drove up and was shocked, the entire front of the barn had already been weeded.

It turned out Joan had her crew work just a half hour and finished one side.  I took the golf cart to the playground and found Berlica, Braelyn, Taegan and Kensley and hired them to help Mark weed the long side.
Thankful for grand daughter help. While they were working I pulled Jewel out, teased her and got her covered by Evan. Ruth was with mom today and when Fedi stopped in she asked him to help her put mom's lift chair into the new wheelchair van just to make sure it will work for the trip to Gulf  Shores in October.
It fit but we will need to first get mom in it then move the chair in place to be secured down.  Mark came over to help take the chair back into the house. Amy took her mare Belle to a show and did training level 1, 2 and 3 and ended up with a 4th and 2 seconds.
It is so nice to see how well they work together.
Philip and Ben were working in the barn installing door frames while Anna painted the doors.
I used that opportunity to tell Anna when they were ready to quit I had supper prepared. They stopped to let the kids swim for a while during the heat of the day.  Mark and I stopped in and were impressed that the trim is almost all installed along with 5 door frames.
They came in for supper and they were all starving after working hard then swimming for a few hours.
After supper they played the name game.
We all soon left for mom's beach. Phil and Anna had stopped at the firework place in Hanna City and picked up some fun fireworks for the kids. Later Spark's family arrived. There were so many young boys and of course they ALL love fireworks. About an hour later the older kids went to Rachel's to use the hot tub then made it back to great grandma's in time for the firework display.
The pictures below are all from Rachel, I only took video. Her pictures are always the best.

The video below is quite long as they were having so much fun first in the daylight then cheering on Ruth's boy's home made fire works along with the Sauder's big display.
During the first part of the video you can hear pounding that is Fedi and Mike pounding out the dent in the stock trailer. Someone forgot the trailer was hooked up to the truck and backed into it.
Now it is just about perfect.
The fireworks ended at 9:30 pm with a flash of lightning and a big crack of thunder.  Just in time we all got home as the storm hit. We love this weather, love this rain.  What a fun but long day.
