Busy Friday

It was my turn to be with mom this morning so I got up early to get the apartment floor swept and mopped from our work last night and even had enough time to get the dishes done and laundry started before our walk. Just Diane and I walked, Joan isn't home yet and Ruth was helping one of her son's move. Right after the walk I had enough time to get Sheena her meds. This morning she was given 2 cc's of bute and 40 ccs of sulfa. She is walking better and putting weight on the left hind but it is more swollen.   My first job at mom's is to fill the bird feeder with black oil sunflower seeds. These are for the birds, not sassy squirrels. Of course the squirrel not only tried to help himself, he brought along a friend to help him eat and was most insulted when I chased him off. He actually glared at me from the post just to make sure I really was going to chase him off.

He stopped, turned and only moved on when I turned the hose on him.
The petunias on the deck smell wonderful.
I've always been partial to petunias. Some of Rhonda's family arrived to swim as by mid morning it was already 90 degrees.  Dan brought Diesel over right at lunch time and joined us for pizza.  Mom likes Diesel.
Dan actually came to check out mom's lift chair to see if we could add wheels to it. Ruth arrived right at that time, they checked it out and ordered the wheels. This way the lift chair can be used in the wheel chair van to take mom to Gulf Shores in October. When Karin arrived I left to get the 5th wheel ready for the guests coming in tomorrow but on the way over the men with the counter top for the barn arrived so I stopped in there and opened the side door for them.
Above is before the counter top. Below they are carrying it in.
Below they are getting ready to install it.
All done.
Below is a short video of them getting ready to lay it.
I finally got to the 5th wheel. The guests coming in are 2 guys coming to play disc golf in the area so they wanted two beds. That meant the couch needed to be made up as a bed but if it is all the way pulled down there isn't much room to walk by so I left it half way up.
The laundry was done, the tanks were emptied and the 5th wheel given a good cleaning. The man that had been staying in for the last 4 nights asked to come back next week for 4 more nights starting Monday the 17th so those nights were blocked off. This will be the 3rd time he has stayed and each time he stays for 4 nights. On the way back to the house the mares and foals were getting ready to go across the pond. It was a bit cooler over there.
Mike brought his tractor with the bush hog mower hooked up and mowed a couple paddocks and the entrance way.
The kids swimming this afternoon played in the gym tonight.
When we came out there was a storm moving in and directly above us were mammatus clouds.
These according to the internet mammatus clouds generally form in the most unstable cumulonimbus, meaning that there is also a chance of hail, heavy rain and lightning in the vicinity.  It looked like the storm would miss us though.
