We had a beautiful sunny warm but windy day. Karin took out a group of riders. Isaiah and Magda helped move the yearlings then after the ride took Galena and Sally out to Middle Grove and brought back Mika. The mares were locked off the big field and moved over to the pond pasture. Mark and I worked on laying the fabric down around the building site for the new barn then shoveling gravel on top to keep it from blowing away before the big rock comes.
That was a labor intensive job for us old folks but we got it done. I quit at 2:00 to head over to mom's. Her blood pressure dropped alarmingly low. She needed to be helped to her chair and get her legs up before she started feeling better. Karin, Jackie and I played while Joan mowed. Dan came over to get mom's battery system up and running. Mom now has her solar hooked up that if for any reason the electricity goes out her house she will still have electricity. This evening Mark, Joan, mom and I picked up Nancy and all of us went to 5 Points in Washington to hear and watch the Chamber Choir. My phone was not the best for recording but this was the first song.
This was a benefit for Life Points. They sang for an hour, then Ron Messner, the MC, put on a history video for us and after that the Chamber choir came back in and sang. Their children joined them for a couple songs and they finished up with a spiritual. The entire evening was really wonderful. As soon as we got home I browned 6 pounds of hamburger, mixed it with the spaghetti sauce and stuck it in the fridge. Tomorrow morning I'll use that to put together crock pot lasagna for Sunday supper. I posted Galena for sale and someone wanted to see a video of her. The only videos I could find were of some of the performances at the Horse Fair but since it was not on youtube but facebook had to post it on the blog and that is why it is posted in the previous post.
