2 More For 22

Mom walked this morning, the entire round. When we got to Joan's house we had to admire her bees.

Our loop takes us to the barn next. Mike was busy fixing a waterer that had developed a hole in the reservoir.
Anna drove up to work on the camper as we were heading to Diane's so the girls joined us on the walk. When we reached the cabin field the mares were up begging for attention.
Kensley is petting Lily on the left, Braelyn is petting Rosalie on the right and Irish is behind them.
Since Joan didn't walk yesterday and didn't see Diane's remodel, she ran in to see and came out and said, "yes the curtains match the walls." Diane asked her, "What did you think of the chair covers?" Joan hadn't noticed those so Diane sent her back. Below she is running to the front door for the second time.
We finished the walk so the girls came inside to work on their outfits. Braelyn sat down to sew but Taegan just put her's together with clips.

The water was turned back on and we went out to check the waterer but the patch didn't hold. I was able to turn the water off right at that waterer and the horses in the far paddock were moved into the breeding shed paddock while Sangria was put in with the riding horses in the middle paddock then Jewel and Hadassah put in with Cookie in the paddock next to Valiant. That way all of them had access to water. Joan had someone coming to pick up the Wolf Pup and needed the keys so I also took the supplies over for the FSX trailer and got there just as the man arrived. Dr. Hoerr was scheduled to arrive at 11:00 am for ultrasounds. Today we wanted to have Oksana done again, plus  have Rosalie, Irish and Lily preg checked. If the 3 mares with foals settled I was going to haul them right out to Middle Grove so the big trailer was hooked up to the 2003 truck and backed into the arena. Mike came home for lunch and fixed the hole in the waterer so I took a couple trips over to the cabin field to bring the mares and foals over from the cabin field so I could easily get them into stalls when Dr. Hoerr arrived. I had just finished when Isaiah, Magda and a friend arrived to ride. Below they are tacking up the horses.
Left to right is Oksana, Missy and Ripper. Just before they were ready to leave the vet clinic sent a text that Dr. Hoerr was on the way. That meant Oksana needed to be untacked and put in a stall. Magda did that then just tacked up Mika. Dr. Hoerr arrived about 2:45 pm. He did Oksana first.
She is still pregnant and the foal has a strong heart beat. Next was Rosalie.
She is pregnant. She is due March 24th, 2022.
Lily was done next but she was open. I was pretty sure I had not caught her at the right time and was right. Irish was last.
She too is pregnant. Irish was bred to Valiant and is due April 6th,2022. She wanted to see it for herself.
Mark sent a text about then he was on his way home with fried chicken for supper but since Isaiah was still here he helped load Rosalie, her filly, Irish and her filly and I left for Middle Grove. When I got there Irish and her colt were put out first. I thought she would stick around waiting while I unloaded Rosalie but she did not and started heading up to find the herd. She stopped a couple times to listen.

Rosalie wanted to hurry to catch up.
She has all 4 hooves OFF the ground in the picture below as she was in a hurry to catch up.
We ate supper as soon as I got home. Fried chicken is my favorite meat! As soon as we finished we headed over to the building site to check out the progress from today.
I can see where the doors are going to be. We  have a 15 foot wide door on the north west corner facing our house. There are 4 big bay doors on the west side each 10 foot by 12 foot high. The perma-columns are all set. The next job is to get the wood around the perimeter so the concrete can be poured. That stack of lumber is there waiting for tomorrow.  Mark helped move the 3 mares and foals out of the breeding shed to the far paddock to join Lily. The back gate is open so they can go into the pond pasture and tease to Valiant when they are coming in. Below they are grazing next to the fence. Lily and her filly are far left. She is already missing Rosalie and Irish.
Soul's filly took off across the dam. Lola's colt went next so Lola was quick to follow.
Soul wasn't in a hurry to catch up, she just moseyed along happy her filly was with Lola and her colt.
Jury's colt took off, realized his mom wasn't following stopped dead and waited for her to catch up before they took off.
Lily's filly was anxious to head over and took off at a gallop.

When she realized her mom didn't follow whirled around and started running back.
She let her mom know she wanted to go by whirling and bucking.
Lily gave in and off they went. I was laughing at Lily as she stuck her tail into the air like an Arabian.
This evening mom and I are watching Faith's Co-Op musical. We have tickets for the 2:00 pm performance tomorrow but it is on line tonight so we are getting a preview. Jewel and Hadassah were put inside for the night. Jewel is bagged up but not waxing, Hadassah isn't bagged up but Jewel is more comfortable with Hadassah with her. Both were glad to go inside and have a good roll.
