Girl's Camp

The AC Junior High Girls Camp is the biggest camp of the year for us but for the Old School Center the biggest camp is AC Senior High Boys. Thank goodness we don't provide horses for the boys, boys don't really care about riding. The Old School Center in Farmington IL houses the campers, counselors, servant help, cooks and speakers for 3 of the camps each year providing plenty of cabins for sleeping, 2 gyms for activities and stage for the speakers, skits and singing and a huge cafeteria to feed the hungry campers. This year the junior high girls will be shuttled to Norris, IL twice. Once last night for a campfire and then today for all the water activities and horse back riding. The Hermans have their 30 acre lake in the sky set up for company and every weekend during the summer that lake is busy. The campers come from our churches all over the United States and make friends that last a lifetime. Joan will be driving Mike's truck hooked up to the stock trailer while I'm driving my truck and trailer to Middle Grove to load up the horses. Emily Ricketts is bringing 5 visitors from Kansas out to Middle Grove for horse back riding this morning. This will be a very busy day. Below is the newest (little)Raven son out of Mattie, Mattie is a draft a good 17.1 hands tall, this boy is going to be HUGE! Kim writes: Sully (registered name will be Sullivan Patrick) born 9:10 pm 06/06/2012 Mattie's baby, Sully, seems to be doing well. He's running Mattie ragged. This is her first baby; and, once she decided the he was OK, she hasn't let him out of her sight...which means every time he goes running to the end of their coral she's right behind him!!! It's been pretty funny to watch. I've been trying to get better pictures of Sully...he's very handsome...but, Mattie at one point must have had a problem with the paparazzi because every time she hears the click of the digital camera she gets very nervous!!!
