Fence Line
On the walk the nest was checked and the fourth redwing blackbird chick has now hatched.
On the second round we moved Clair and her filly into the cabin field. It was predicted to be hot and sunny and the filly at only 3 days old needed shade. Unfortunately when we were trying to call Mike to let him know we were bringing them over his phone was in the house while he was spraying the weeds along the cabin field fence line. We couldn't take a chance with Clair and her filly in there with the spraying going on and had to bring them back. They are now in the breeding shed. Clair is very comfortable in that paddock and settled right down with her filly.
I spent the day with Braelyn. Below she is feeding her breakfast to Emma.
Of course Emma thinks that little girl is the best thing that ever happened around here. Addyson use to feed her exactly like this but got old enough to be aware of all the yucky slobber. Don't worry Anna, her hands were washed thoroughly once done. Braelyn and I took Darcy and Emma over to mom's to swim. Mom wasn't home, she was volunteering at the Midwest food bank so we didn't stay long. Mark got the duct work finished at the farm house, we will soon have heating and cooling there. We hope to move in by Christmas.
The surveyor put up a few posts with flags attached but not enough to be able to connect the dots. Mark needs a few more to get an idea of exactly where the fence should go. He spent the evening working with the skid steer the turbo saw attachment and his trusty chain saw.
